FTP
Our FTP site is secured, and only those with authorized accounts can access the files within their directory.
Industry standards have been raised a notch in the computer world since about 2005, so in order to access the FTP site and move files around, you can no longer just click a link from a browser and have it open the site properly. FTP sites need to be opened in Windows Explorer now, not Internet Explorer, or any other browser for that matter. You can do one of two things to open our FTP site properly.
- First, you can double click on your MyComputer icon on your desktop, and in the address bar of the window that opens, type ftp://ftp.ptsarizona.com. You will then be prompted to enter your username and password to authenticate yourself with the server. Once you have gained access, you will only be able to see and access files assigned to your account.
- Second, you can download a third party FTP client, which then allows you access through their software to the FTP site. A good example of this software is FileZilla. It is a free piece of software you can download and use to access FTP sites.
If you have any further questions about FTP sites and how to use them, I would refer you to a search engine like Google or Bing to find answers to your questions. If you are a client or employee of Preferred Transcription Service, feel free to contact us at anytime for free support.
