2010
December 31, 2009
Welcome to 2010. Here at PTS, we hope you had a successful 2009 and have set goals for an even more successful 2010. We have started the year off with the launch of our new website, and increased our efforts in customer service and increasingly accurate transcription.
We like to think we have the best people working here at PTS, and would like to publicly thank them for their hard work. We have been able to get through this tough economy with minimal damages and have high hopes for a great upcoming year.
Best wishes to our clients and employees in 2010.

We are constantly asked the questions of, is it easy to do transcription? Would you hire me so I can work at home? Are their transcription courses I can take so I can work at home? How much would I make? How many hours would I need to work? What materials would I need? The list goes on, you get the point.
Well, there is a place where you can get the answers to all of your questions, take typing tests, and make sure that transcription is the right choice for you before you invest time and money in becoming trained. That place is MTWorld.com. It is a great resource for anyone who is, or wants to get involved with Medical Transcription. Check it out.
Merry Christmas

PTS would like to wish all of our clients and staff a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. We would also like to thank all those who have made this year our best yet. We look forward to another successful year, and hope you will be apart of it.
India outsourcing
December 23, 2009
There has been a lot of attention drawn to Indian transcription services lately, and here’s why. They are cheap! In an economy like ours, everyone is trying to pinch pennies wherever they can, and we don’t blame you. So why not switch your transcription service to India, where they can work for as little as 5 cents a line? Below are just a few reasons why you DON”T want to take your business to India. We have talked with many companies who have switched for a brief time, only to come crawling back, begging to have their work done by professionals here in the U.S.
- Lost dictation
- Inaccurate spelling and grammar
- Additional costs for stat and letter dictations
- Additional costs for finding Doctor/Hospital info
- You are just one of thousands
- No local, personal support specific to your needs
With an economay as bad as our, and our nation going into continual debt, why send the little money we do have left to another country.
Do you know who your handing your money to?
